United Methodist Women (UMW)

United Methodist Women is a community of women who know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; develop creative, supportive fellowship; and expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the United Methodist Church.
 
You can be part of the UMW by:
  • participating in the general meetings (four per year) for study, fellowship and service
  • joining one of seven Fellowships, each consisting of 15-20 women who hold monthly meetings from September through May
  • taking part in UMW outreach ministries, such as preparing Church World Service kits (Health Kits, Clean-Up Kits, School Kits, and Sewing Kits)
  • joining other UMW members in preparing and serving a dinner to students at Wesley Theological Seminary
  • making a financial pledge to UMW in support of missions around the world
Fellowship Meetings

A Fellowship is a way to meet new friends, grow spiritually, participate in service events, and connect with other people and activities at Mount Olivet. Below is a list of UMW fellowships and their monthly meeting times – we invite you to visit!  For more information about UMW or a particular fellowship, please contact UMW President, Chelsea Fallon, at 703.615.6987, or the church office at 703.527.3934.
