Weddings
At Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, weddings are regarded as a sacred covenant, celebrated in a beautiful and sacred place. A wedding is one of the most joyous and holy moments in life. The covenant of marriage between a husband and wife and God is rightfully marked by a meaningful service of worship. And to that regard, Mount Olivet requires that you either be a member of our church, a member of another United Methodist Church or have some affiliation or family affiliation with a United Methodist Church.Scheduling Your Church Wedding
Every effort will be made to schedule your wedding on the date that you request. However, we do not schedule weddings on Sundays, holidays, or during Advent or Lent.
Officiating Your Church Wedding
Our pastors enjoy performing weddings for the members of the church they serve. At Mount Olivet UMC, we require that you use one of our pastors to officiate your service and attend pre-marital counseling sessions.
Wedding Coordinator
Mount Olivet UMC wants to make your wedding worry and hassle free. With that in mind, you will be assigned a wedding coordinator to assist you with your needs at your rehearsal and wedding. The wedding coordinator is trained and acquainted with many details involved in both the wedding and rehearsal in order to make your experience pleasant and enjoyable. It should be noted that the Wedding Coordinator is not a Wedding Planner and responsibilities are limited to the Church premises.
