"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
On the third Saturday of each month, people gather outside our church, in hopeful anticipation. Some are old, some are young, some are homeless, some in shelters, some speak English, some do not, some wear purple shirts, and some wear all they own on their backs. They are a diverse group, but all share a desire to come together in community.
Once a month, the hungry break bread with the well-fed. The affluent laugh and chat with the impoverished. The lonely find a friendly ear to listen. And the Holy Spirit moves us together.
"It is always so peaceful here. I can just come here and sit in here and feel at peace." - Enrique
