The Church Council is a representational body of Mount Olivet that performs the business of our church.  The Council works using the consensus process and is made up of representatives from our ministries, Witness & Welcome, Worship, Outreach, Christian Growth, Communications, Youth, United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men as well as our committees, Trustees, Staff-Parish Relations, Finance, Stewardship and Lay Leadership. Membership also includes our clergy, staff and members from our congregation at large.

 

The Council addresses such items as budget planning, ministry planning, upkeep of our facilities, and long-range strategies for the continued spiritual and physical growth of our church. Meetings are held monthly, generally on the third Saturday of the month, and attendance is open to all members.
